Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!

Awakenings HomeThis is a featured page

This site provides a forum for discussion amongst folk who came along to our 'Awakenings' meeting on 23 July 2008. I've put it together at the suggestion of Richard Stacy, who pointed out that he spoke to a lot of interesting people, but frequently didn't know who they were - or how to contact them again. On this site, you can:

  • Put up a few details about yourself - and a photo
  • Browse the biographies of others who were there on Wednesday
  • Start your own discussion thread
  • Contribute to the discussions others have started

This is a 'members only' site - so anything you put up here will only be visible to those who have been invited to join. This invitation has only been extended to the 42 people who participated in our meeting - the site is not publicly accessible.

Cheers,
Tom

Tom_Crompton We created an experience on 23 July - is this the end-point in itself? 5 Aug 1 2008, 6:33 AM EDT by stephenfitzp

Several people have said that what they enjoyed most - and found most useful - about our meeting was that it provided a forum for them to express thoughts and feelings that they were reluctant to express in many other contexts.

As we seek ways to build on this meeting, is it enough that we should be seeking to provide this opportunity for others? - There will be different ways of doing it, more or less effective, more or less accessible (we had huge expertise in the room about different appraoches to this kind of thing). And there will be issues about how brest to make this appeal to different audiences (again, something that the large number of marketing experts in the room might be able to help with).

But is the replication of this experience - in different ways, and for different groups of people - alone enough?
Do you find this valuable?
